Updated codes of conduct concerning picketing and industrial action ballots come into operation today.

They have been updated to reflect changes enshrined in the Trade Unions Act 2016. The Code of Practice on Picketing supersedes the one published in 1992. The Code of Practice on Industrial Action supersedes the one published in 2005.
